JUNIOR RUGBY IN THE EASTWOOD DISTRICT Eastwood Rugby Club strongly supports junior rugby and encourages all young players through opportunities such as its Academy, Colts and Junior Representative programmes. Seven junior clubs contest the Junior competitions for ages under 6 to under 17 run by Eastwood District Junior Rugby Union www.eastwoodjuniors.rugbynet.com.au The seven local junior rugby clubs in the Eastwood district are:
Representative Junior Rugby Players in age groups from under 10 to under 17 have the opportunity to try out for selection in Eastwood Junior Representative teams. The Representative teams play in the Eastwood uniform and compete in the State Championships against Representative teams from other Sydney districts and New South Wales country regions. Girls' Rugby Girls and boys can play rugby together in age groups from under 6 to under 12. In 2003, Sydney Junior Rugby Union introduced a girls competition to give girls the opportunity to continue playing after under 12.
